After Skylar walked away, Jackson couldn’t shake the feeling that he knew her date from somewhere.
“What is it, Jackson?”
“That guy looks familiar to me, that’s all.” [Read more...]
“So, are you crashing then because I didn’t see your name on the guest list?”
I could tell the agent was fighting to remain calm, just like I could tell he didn’t like me very much. He should have tried to hide his reaction better though, because knowing that just made taunting him more fun. The petite brunette at his side didn’t seem to enjoy it as much I did. [Read more...]
Parker led Skylar off the dance floor. “As much fun as I’m having, I think you should start introducing me to the others.”
Parker caught the look of annoyance Skylar tossed his way, but ignored it. He was certain she thought he was being sarcastic. He wasn’t. If he didn’t have a very strong suspicion Raptor was here tonight, keeping this beautiful woman in his arms for the whole of the night would be his first, last and only priority. [Read more...]
Raptor knew the moment the man walked into the room that it was Parker Ramsey, back from the dead. He didn’t know what he was doing here or why he was dancing with Skylar Montgomery, but he knew he didn’t like it. Why had Ramsey chosen now to reveal himself? [Read more...]
Jackson and Jenna arrived just before eight o’clock. She was oddly quiet during the ride over, but Jackson didn’t press her for the reason. At some point he knew he would have to face the truth and accept it. He was in love with a woman who didn’t love him back. Their relationship was too damaged by the way they met to recover. For the second time today, I was in the swanky ballroom of the Wellington Hotel in north Dallas. Reyna booked the largest ballroom, which was enormous even considering the hotel we were using for the gala. Despite the army of event coordinators on staff, she insisted we be here in the afternoon to oversee the decorating.
Seeing everything during the day didn’t do our work justice. Now that I could see it in the moonlight, I could truly appreciate how stunning everything looked. The ballroom was on the seventh floor and the terrace had a spectacular view of the courtyard and swimming pools. When the wind wasn’t gusting, it felt wonderful outside. I only hoped it would stay this way long enough for the guests to enjoy it. [Read more...]
Reyna dropped me off at just after nine o’clock that night. The meeting was as exhausting as she warned me and I was completely void of energy. It was a chore just to carry my dress inside.
If Parker felt the need to try something on me tonight, I hoped he was in the mood to do all the work… [Read more...]
Parker sat quietly at his table and pretended to read the newspaper. After a respectable period of time passed, he left the café and got into his car. It appeared the FBI was investigating Raptor more actively than he thought. [Read more...]
Jenna was in a booth at the far side of the café when Jackson arrived. He sat down across from her and she treated him to a warm smile.
“Thanks for meeting me on such short notice, Jackson.” [Read more...]
Brandon walked back into his office and sat down. It was only two o’clock and his partner was nowhere to be found. Caldwell was trying his patience and the e-mail he had waiting for him further exacerbated the situation.
He had to deal with this situation, sooner rather than later. [Read more...]
I was amazed at how much fun I was having dress shopping with Reyna. I expected her to drag me off to one of the ritzy dress shops on Preston Road in Dallas, but instead she took me to the mall.
In the second department store, Reyna held up a gaudy pink sequined dress and [Read more...]
Raptor hung up the phone from the morning’s most recent call and drummed impatient fingers on the expansive desk. Time enough for one more call before he got on with the façade of his day. He knew it was still too early in the day for Chill to be up, but time was a luxury he didn’t have right now.
The prospect of a good heist always hyped up his system. [Read more...]
Parker watched the two women get into a sleek BMW and drive off. Skylar was going to play right into his hands without him having to put too much effort into it. A smile crept over his face as he put the car in gear and pulled into the traffic.
Absently, Parker reached for his cell phone and realized it wasn’t in his pocket. A quick glance revealed [Read more...]
Hi, y’all.
I thought that since today’s the first day of a shiny new month that it was as good a time as any to give you a little update about changes going on at Your Littlest Sin and with me.
So, basically, lots of changes are in the works. I’m looking forward to getting back in the full fiction swing of things around here. I hope to make it worth the wait for y’all.
